Conestoga Boys JV Crowned Champions at 2025 National Interscholastic Team Squash Championships

The Conestoga High School Boys Junior Varsity (JV) squash team clinched first place in the 2025 National Interscholastic Team Squash Championships, held at the prestigious Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia. The team triumphed in a thrilling three-day event, emerging as champions in a competitive field of JV teams from across the country.

Led by an impressive lineup of seven talented players—Warren Schrader, Thomas Chen, Sohum Kotapally, Calvin Kan, Sai Lalam, Andy Wu, and Allen Liang—Conestoga demonstrated remarkable teamwork, skill, and resilience throughout the tournament. Each player delivered key performances across multiple matches, contributing to the team’s overall success. Warren Schrader, the team’s top seed, set the tone with his precision and athleticism, while Thomas Chen and Sohum Kotapally displayed incredible consistency in their matches. Calvin Kan and Sai Lalam brought strategic prowess to the court, and Andy Wu and Allen Liang’s tenacious efforts sealed pivotal victories that propelled the team to the top.

“It’s an incredible achievement for these young athletes,” said Conestoga’s coach, Jeremie Fisher, who praised the team’s hard work and dedication leading up to the event. “Their commitment to improving their game and supporting each other as a team truly paid off. Winning a national championship is a testament to their passion and perseverance.”

The Arlen Specter US Squash Center, known as the “Home of American Squash,” provided an inspiring backdrop for the championship. The state-of-the-art facility hosted hundreds of matches over the three days, bringing together some of the brightest young squash talents in the nation.

The Conestoga JV team’s victory marks a significant milestone in the school’s squash program, further cementing its reputation as a top-tier among US public school programs. Parents, teammates, and supporters were on hand to cheer the players on, making the victory even more memorable.

With this victory, the Conestoga Boys JV team has set a high bar for future seasons, inspiring the next generation of squash players to aim for excellence. As champions of the 2025 National Interscholastic Team Squash Championships, they have not only made their school proud but have also left an indelible mark on the local squash community.

Conestoga High School Boys Squash Team Celebrates Graduation of Eight Outstanding Players

As the academic year draws to a close, the Conestoga Boys Squash Team bids farewell to a remarkable cohort of eight young men who have not only excelled in the classroom but have also left an indelible mark on the squash court. Harrison Kerr, Colin Min, Jake White, Pradhit Gaddameedi, Ethan Liu, Michael Tierney, Steven Cui, and Mark Dolente (from left to right in picture above), all members of the boys squash team, are set to embark on new journeys as they graduate in 2024.

These eight members have demonstrated a rare blend of dedication, talent, and leadership throughout their high school careers, both academically and athletically. As they prepare to take the next steps in their lives, it’s fitting to reflect on their achievements and offer our sincerest congratulations.

In academics, each of these young men has distinguished himself through hard work and perseverance. Their commitment to excellence in the classroom has been evident in their consistently high grades, their involvement in extracurricular activities, and their contributions to the school community. From rigorous coursework to extracurricular pursuits, they have embraced every opportunity to learn and grow, setting a shining example for their peers.

Conestoga Boys Squash Team Celebrates Achievements for the 2024 Season

The Conestoga High School boys squash team has much to celebrate as they reflect on their 2024 season, marked by impressive victories and notable accomplishments. Gathered at the picturesque Waynesborough Country Club on March 17, 2024, the team came together to honor their successes and pay tribute to the dedication and hard work that propelled them to new heights.

Throughout the season, the boys team showcased their skill and determination on the court, clinching victory after victory in the Mid-Atlantic Squash Association (MASA) matches. Winning an impressive 12 out of the 17 MASA matches, they demonstrated their prowess and resilience, earning the respect of their competitors and solidifying their standing as a force to be reckoned within the region.

However, their achievements did not stop there. The culmination of their hard work and commitment was realized at the US High School National Championship, where they competed in Division II. Despite facing fierce competition from elite teams across the nation, the Conestoga boys squash team rose to the challenge, ultimately securing an impressive No. 8 ranking in this prestigious tournament. Their performance showcased not only their talent but also their ability to thrive under pressure, earning them recognition on a national scale.

At the heart of their success lies the unwavering dedication of each team member, as well as the guidance and support of their coaches and mentors. From countless hours of practice to strategic gameplay on the court, the boys team epitomized the values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the season, inspiring pride and admiration among their peers and supporters.

The 2023-2024 Team Is Formed

After 4 rounds of tryouts, the Conestoga High School Boys team for the 2023-2024 season is officially formed. Following is the list of all players who will participate in the MASA league matches as well as the National Championships for the 2023-2024 season.

When: Nov. 13 – Nov. 16, 2023 (4:45 – 6:15 pm)

Where: Berwyn Squash & Fitness Club

Who: Everyone who wants to be part of the 16. No one is considered on the team. Everyone will have a fair shot at making the team.

Conestoga Boys Squash Welcomes New Head Coach

Conestoga Boys Squash is pleased to formally introduce Jeremie Aissaoui-Fischer as its new Head Coach. 

Jeremie has been a squash coach at Berwyn Squash & Fitness for two years. Prior to joining the staff at Berwyn Squash & Fitness Club. Jeremie grew up playing squash extensively in Europe. He was a top-five ranked junior in France in U17 and U19.  He competed post juniors playing in national events as well as PSA tournaments. He continued training and learning in Montpellier with Paul Sciberras, who coached world champion Thierry Lincou.

Jeremie has a master’s degree in strength and conditioning as well as a second master’s degree in exercise science. 

Jeremie was previously Head Coach of the TE/Vally Forge Middle School boys and girls teams for the past several years and successfully led the girls’ team to win 1st place in Division 1 of the 2023 U.S. Middle School Championships. 

We are also pleased to announce that Rich Fitzgerald and Michael Mulholland will be returning as assistant coaches for their sixth and third season, respectively.
